Email fraud - Phishing emails

Recently, our valued customers have reported receiving fraudulent emails that appear to be from Commercial Bank, but which are, in fact, sent by imposters. Fraudulent emails typically include attachments, request personal information or both. The fraudulent email may provide a web link that connects to a Commercial Bank lookalike site. When such emails are sent in our name, Commercial Bank works aggressively with law enforcement agencies to investigate them. We kindly would like to remind you that Commercial Bank does not ask customers to provide sensitive information in this way. You should not reply to such emails.
Even if you don't provide what they ask for, simply clicking the link could subject you to background installations of key logging software or viruses. Do not log into your internet banking account from a link sent to you in an email even if it is sent from and address @cbq.qa

Please note: Commercial Bank will never use email to request your personal or electronic banking details, nor will the bank contact you by telephone requesting your electronic banking details such as user ID, and password. Should you receive any such request for information please contact us immediately. Should you contact the bank we may have to ask for additional information to authenticate your identity, however this information would not include electronic banking user ID or password.

Be very suspicious of any business or person who asks for your password, ATM PIN number, or other highly sensitive information. If you have responded to one of the emails giving personal information, please contact Commercial Bank contact center as soon as possible on +974-4449 0000. These may appear to come from a trusted business or friend, but actually are designed to trick you into downloading a virus or jumping to a fraudulent website and disclosing sensitive information.
