In addition, if you are unable to meet your repayments, your outstanding balance will be taken care of. For instance, in the case of permanent disability, death or loss of employment we will waiver what you owe.
These benefits are provided for a nominal monthly charge and cardholders are automatically enrolled.
Credit Shield Plus is only 65 Dirhams for every QAR 100
billed at the end of the month. Cover is for all balances belonging to the cardholder and for supplementary cards up to the limits specified below.
Purchase protection
When you pay for goods and services using your Commercial Bank Credit Card benefit from protection for 90 days from the date of purchase. Up to USD 2,000 per item is covered, subject to a maximum of USD 4,000 in any one occurrence and not exceeding USD 8,000 annually per cardholder.
Extended warranty
Purchases up to USD 2,000 per item are covered, subject to a maximum of five claims per year per cardholder and not exceeding USD 10,000 in total.
Death cover
100% of the value for outstanding credit card balance or the credit limit, whichever is lower, subject to a maximum of QAR 100,000
Permanent total disablement
100% of the the value of outstanding credit card balance or the credit limit, whichever is lower, subject to a maximum of QAR 100,000
Loss of employment
Up to 100% of the the value of outstanding credit card balance or credit limit, whichever is lower, subject to a maximum of QAR 40,000, if you recieve a regular salary.
