04 December 2017
Doha, Qatar: Female staffs at Commercial Bank have taken part in Qatar Cancer Society’s “Our passion in our health” programme at the Ooredoo Cancer Awareness Centre.
Targeting all women in the Qatari community, the programme aims to raise awareness about the most common types of cancers among women in Qatar including breast cancer, cervical cancer and thyroid cancer, and educate them about risk factors, warning signs and symptoms, together with methods of prevention and early detection. The programme also emphasizes the role of adopting a healthy lifestyle in the prevention of cancer through healthy food and physical activity.
Commercial Bank staffs were free to choose the language of their training (Arabic or English) and received certificates upon completion.
Commercial Bank EGM, Chief Marketing Officer Mr. Hussein M Ali Al-Abdulla said: “Commercial Bank is committed to employee welfare and we actively support initiatives that contribute positively to the health and wellbeing of the Qatari community. We take cancer very seriously, and our participation in Qatar Cancer Society’s training programme follows Commercial Bank’s partnership with Primary Health Care Corporation in October to raise awareness of breast cancer during International Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”
