What is CB Voice?
CB Voice is a new authentication feature using voice biometrics technology. During registration, the sound of your voice saying the passphrase “my voice is my password” will be recorded and stored.
So, the next time you call, when you say the same passphrase, your voice will be digitally matched to confirm your identity.
Is CB Voice secure?
Similar to your fingerprint, your voice is unique. Voice biometrics relies on over 100 voice characteristics, which makes your voice pattern unique.
- Physical factors (e.g. vocal tract, mouth shape and size, nasal passage)
- Behavioral factors (e.g. speed of speech, pronunciation and emphasis, accents).
The combination of these two factors make the voice biometrics safe and secure.
What are the benefits of CB Voice?

Who is eligible for CB Voice?
CB Voice is eligible for primary cardholders and is currently available for Personal Banking and PayCard customers only. Joint or minor account are not eligible for CB Voice.
How much do I have to pay for CB Voice?
This service is free and is provided to enhance and improve your authentication experience.
How do I register for CB Voice?
You can register for CB Voice via 2 ways:
1. Log in to your CBQ Mobile App. Select Services and then CB Voice.
2. Calling the Contact Centre on 44490000, or 44490025 for PayCard customers and follow the instruction to register.
In which languages are CB Voice available?
For personal accounts, CB Voice is available in English and Arabic.
For PayCard customers, CB Voice is available in English or Hindi.
If I have more than one account or card, do I have to register CB Voice for each?
You only need to register for CB Voice once, regardless of the number of accounts or cards linked to your profile. If you have another account that is not linked to your customer profile, you will need to register for CB Voice separately for this account.
When can I start using my CB Voice?
You can start using CB Voice 24 hours after successful registration.
Can someone use a recording of my voice to gain access to my account?
CB Voice is designed to detect playback of a recorded voice and will not allow fraudsters to use recordings to access to your account.
Can someone imitate my voice to gain access?
More than 100 behavioral and physical characteristics of your voice are measured and no two voices are the same.
What if I have difficulty in speaking or is assisted by a speaking device?
You can choose not to register in CB Voice and continue to use the existing authentication method.
