Commercial Bank hosts breakfast forum for Government and Semi-Government customers

Doha, Qatar: Commercial Bank, one of the leading full service banks in Qatar, recently hosted a breakfast forum in partnership with the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) at Commercial Bank Plaza. Themed: “SWIFT for corporates”, the forum was attended by senior Treasurers, Chief Financial Officers and Heads of Cash Management at governmental and semi-governmental entities.
The forum’s guest speaker, Mr. Onur Ozan, Senior Director for SWIFT MENA, spoke to the audience about how corporates can streamline Cash Management processes using new developments in technology and how the Qatari market is adopting these new technologies compared to the rest of the world.
Speaking at the opening of the forum, Commercial Bank’s CEO, Mr. Abdulla Saleh Al Raisi, said: “This is the first in a series of Commercial Bank forums on innovative banking topics. We are delighted to discuss the latest industry trends and insights with the Qatari governmental and semi-governmental community and we hope to create a community spirit for sharing ideas at these forums.”
