Commercial Bank launches innovative e-Gifts for Eid

​Doha, Qatar: Commercial Bank, Qatar’s first private bank, has announced a new digital initiative. Coinciding with the Eid al-Fitr holiday celebrations, when many people give cash gifts, Commercial Bank’s “e-Gift” digital initiative is now available on the Bank’s Internet Banking platforms with the mobile enabled versions following. It enables customers to electronically send a cash gift to their children, friends and family.

 

The e-Gift feature is designed to deliver the joy of giving and receiving gifts, with the sender and the recipient both receiving a personalised message, informing them of the gift. The sender is able to see his animated gift envelop being filled with cash and flown away, whilst the recipient receives a celebratory animation, again with the personalized message addressed to them.

 

In celebration of Eid Al Fitr, using the e-Gift feature, Commercial Bank customers can surprise their loved ones by sending a cash gift, either via a transfer to the recipient’s bank account, or for those local in Qatar, they have the option to withdraw cash at a Commercial Bank ATM, without needing a debit or credit card.
