Commercial Bank launches photography book “Qatar: Realm of the Possible”

Book celebrates Qatar and the rise of Commercial Bank

 

Doha, Qatar: Commercial Bank has launched a commemorative photography book titled “Qatar: Realm of the Possible.” The book is both a photographic record of Qatar, celebrating the country’s achievements and people in 2013, and a history of Commercial Bank since its establishment in 1975.

 

The book was launched at a VIP event in Commercial Bank Plaza, attended by dignitaries and a number of high profile Qataris who feature in the book.  As well as stunning photographs of Qatar’s natural and built environment, the book also contains personal accounts from Qataris working in the arts, culture, heritage and business worlds, together with testimonies of long-serving Commercial Bank staff.

 

Guests heard speeches from Commercial Bank Group CEO Andrew Stevens and Managing Director Hussain Alfardan before viewing a selection of the photos on display.

 

Commercial Bank CEO Abdulla Saleh Al Raisi said: “The growth and history of Commercial Bank is linked, and runs in parallel with, the growth and history of Qatar. Commercial Bank is a bank of Qatar, for the people of Qatar, and this is expertly captured in the book we have produced to honour our nation and its people."
