Commercial Bank announces further Qatari national executive appointment

Doha, Qatar: Andrew Stevens, Group CEO of Commercial Bank of Qatar today announced the appointment of Rana Abdulaziz Salatt to the Executive Committee of the Bank as Executive General Manager and Chief Risk Officer. This is the fifth senior executive appointment of a Qatari National made by Commercial Bank in recent weeks and underscores the Bank’s commitment to developing home-grown talented staff. Effective immediately, Rana will be reporting directly to the Group CEO in her new role at the Bank.
Rana has been with Commercial Bank for over 16 years. She began her career with the Bank as a graduate from Qatar University and worked her way up through various key roles in Risk Management, culminating in her most recent role as Senior Assistant General Manager and Head of Risk Controls. She is well known within Commercial Bank as a coach and mentor to up-and-coming staff, bringing the experiences from her own career journey to the benefit of others.
