Commercial Bank Celebrates National Day through Events and Activities Honoring Qatari Heritage

Doha, Qatar: In celebration of Qatar National Day 2019, Commercial Bank held a special ceremony yesterday in recognition of the achievements of the State of Qatar at its headquarters in West Bay.

The Bank’s Chairman, Board of Directors, Executive Management, employees and customers attended the atmospheric ceremony at Commercial Bank Plaza. As part of the event programme, an exclusive operetta launched by the Bank, “Shofto El-Gomar” was performed before the audience by the young singer Nasser Al Kubaisi and a group of kids, and was widely very well received. 

Sheikh Abdulla Bin Ali Bin Jabor Al Thani – Chairman at Commercial Bank said: “Qatar National Day is a joyful occasion when all Qataris can be especially proud of our nation’s great achievements. Mr. Hussain Ibrahim Al Fardan – Vice Chairman stated: “Today, we celebrate our rich heritage and past but also look forward to a bright and prosperous future under the wise leadership of His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Commercial Bank is a Qatari Bank, for Qatari staff and Qatari customers and so we have chosen to celebrate National Day this year by hosting a range of traditional Qatari activities which are vital to maintain and cherish for the years to come.”

In line with its corporate social responsibility commitments, Commercial Bank has organized several visits to Qatari entities, such as schools, hospitals, Hamad International Airport, and centers for people with special needs, where limited-edition souvenirs and gifts were distributed. The bank also organized activities for its employees to celebrate the rich heritage, culture and history of Qatar and to reflect the love and loyalty of the Bank’s employees towards His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Additionally, Commercial Bank organized several pre- and post-event activities at its branches, where people enjoyed Arda performance, Arabian coffee and sweets, and a limited-edition set of National Day souvenirs that was distributed.
