02 March 2015

Doha, Qatar: Commercial Bank, one of the leading full service banks in Qatar, has launched a new online banking service for shareholders to more easily manage their dividend payments online. The new service will increase choice for shareholders collecting dividends on their own behalf, by offering them a new online service as well as the option to visit any of our branches across Qatar.

As Commercial Bank continues to lead the way in digital innovation continuously striving to make banking easier for customers, the first online service of its kind will launch in Qatar. The service will allow both Commercial Bank customers and non-customers to view and request payment of their Dividends quickly and easily online.

In simple steps, shareholders can log in at www.cbq.qa/dividend using their personal details where they can view their dividends and clearly identify those paid and those due for payment. Shareholders can then instruct the processing of pending payments by cheque or local bank transfer without the need to visit a Commercial Bank branch, providing a hassle-free, convenient service 24 hours a day.

Commercial Bank CEO Abdulla Saleh Al Raisi said: “Commercial Bank continues to focus on improving customer experience and providing greater convenience for customers by continuing to invest and innovate in digital services. We believe in creating more choice for customers and our new online dividend service is another exclusive and first-to-market digital innovation that will improve the options for customers. The service offers ultimate convenience to shareholders throughout Qatar allowing them to manage their dividends at a time and place convenient to them.”

Important note:

To use the online dividend service, shareholders must:
1.    Be collecting Dividend payments on their own behalf
2.    Have a valid NIN and QID
3.    Ensure their mobile number is registered to their own valid Qatar ID
4.    Accurately enter their IBAN number when requesting a transfer to a local bank.

Shareholders cannot use the service to collect dividend payments on behalf of other people and in this case will need to continue to visit a Commercial Bank Branch.
