Commercial Bank is Lead Sponsor of the Euromoney Conference

Commercial Bank CEO Abdulla Saleh Al Raisi gives keynote address

 

Doha, Qatar: Commercial Bank, one of the leading full service banks in Qatar, is the Lead Sponsor of the Euromoney Qatar 2014 Conference. The Conference is held under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani. The two-day event – held at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha – brings together leaders in finance, policy-makers and innovators who share industry knowledge and expertise, as well as discussing macroeconomic issues and the vast opportunities evolving in regional and global capital markets.

Mr Al Raisi delivered a keynote address on the first morning of the conference and reflected that Qatar is in a strong position to continue its robust economic performance of recent years with the non-hydrocarbon sector currently driving economic growth, especially in the financial and construction industries. He stated that huge infrastructure projects are providing great opportunities for the private sector and Qatar’s well-capitalised banks are well provisioned to finance these major projects.

 

Mr Al Raisi concluded by urging Qatar’s financial institutions ensure that current economic success is passed onto the next generation by collectively remaining in line with National Vision 2030 and achieving lasting sustainable economic development.
