Commercial Bank proud Gold Sponsor of 55th WFE General Assembly and Annual Meeting

Doha, Qatar: Commercial Bank, Qatar’s first private bank, is pleased to announce its participation as gold sponsor of the 55th World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) General Assembly and Annual Meeting hosted by the Qatar Exchange. Inaugurated by HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce and Chairman of the Qatar Exchange, Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al Thani, the conference was held for the first time in the region and in Doha from 19 to 21 October.

 

The event was attended by prominent Chairmen and Chief Executives from global exchanges, and representatives of member exchanges, regulatory agencies and authorities worldwide, as well as senior officials from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce and Qatar Exchange. Key topics debated at this year’s meeting included SME funding, progress on the G20 financial reform agenda, developments commodity markets, evolving market structures and trends in risk management, compliance and governance, in addition to discussing other issues related to stock market strategies and performance, the development of derivatives and bonds markets, and the challenges facing emerging and developed markets.
