Commercial Bank Qatar Masters 2019 proves a success for all

Doha, Qatar: Commercial Bank, the title sponsor of the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, has successfully concluded a fantastic run of educational and promotional events as part of the international golf tournament which took place at the Doha Golf Club over the weekend.
The Commercial Bank Qatar Masters is an annual golf tournament that is part of the European Tour, where many of the world’s top golfers competed on Doha Golf Club’s challenging desert-style championship course, which is one of the longest par 72 courses on the tour. Commercial Bank’s sponsorship of the Qatar Masters provided not only a world-class sporting tournament to visitors, but also a range of exciting hospitality and entertainment for adults and children.
As part of the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, guests visited three different Commercial Bank hospitality chalets. At the Public Village, Commercial Bank’s tent showcased several entertainment and educational activities for the visitors, where children had the chance to play games and guests could watch the tournament and enjoy the atmosphere.
VIP guests attending the tournament also visited the exclusive Commercial Bank Majlis which overlooked the impeccable main field. Visitors to Commercial Bank’s Majlis included a remarkable number of VIPs, including: H.E. To encourage a buzz around the unique sport, in the past month, Commercial Bank has organized several mini-golf activities and promotional campaigns across the country and social media channels. The Bank has also hosted several events for over 5000 students ranging from a variety of schools and universities in Qatar, and malls such as Villaggio and Doha Festival City. At the Doha Golf Club, professional Qatari football player AlMoez Ali visited the Public Village to spend time with over 120 children from 5 different schools, where they participated in a variety of sporting activities. Through its campaign, Commercial Bank also enhanced public knowledge about golf and contributed to raising awareness about the sport and the internationally-renowned tournament.
On the side-lines of the tournament, the Higher Committee for the 22nd Commercial Bank Qatar Masters took the opportunity to invite local businesswomen to attend a lunch at the exclusive Commercial Bank Majlis at the Doha Golf Club as part of International Women’s Day celebrations. Building on this year’s theme of #BalanceForBetter, the Bank celebrated achievements of inspirational women in Qatar, highlighting their successful contributions in a variety of fields. The event, which was also attended by several ambassadors’ wives, falls under the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility vision which is an integral part of Commercial Bank’s business, in line with its support of the human development pillar of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
