Commercial Bank Sponsors and Judges at QU’s 7th Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest

Doha, Qatar: In line with its recent focus on Qatari youth and financial education, Commercial Bank, for the second consecutive year, sponsored the 7th annual Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest, organized in collaboration between the College of Business and Economics and the College of Engineering at Qatar University.
The contest held on November 19th is designed to trigger the entrepreneurial side of students and spread awareness on the importance of entrepreneurial activities and the proper ways of developing and presenting business models.
Potential future entrepreneurs from all colleges were invited to pitch their ideas and projects before a committee of judges, that included Enass Eid, Product Manager at Commercial Bank, who represented the Bank during the final round of judging with sharp business insight and perspective to the ideas.
In this context, Amit Sah, EGM, Consumer Banking at Commercial Bank stated: “We are delighted to support Qatar University and to sponsor this event as an initiative that fosters Qatar’s national development in support of the Qatar National Vision 2030.”
Speaking of the key role Qatari youth plays in the community, Mr. Sah said: “This year, the Bank has invested and launched several programmes and campaigns tailored for young Qataris, the latest being Sadara Youth. Through such offerings, not only are we supporting them, but also providing them with efficient tools meant to assist them in achieving their future dreams and ambitions, every step of the way.”
