Doha, Qatar: Commercial Bank, Qatar’s first private bank, has hosted an event for Qatari students who are deaf from The Qatari Center of Social Cultural for the Deaf, to discuss opportunities to advance their academic and professional development.
In a ceremony at Commercial Bank Plaza delivered by the Bank’s National Development Team, the students and their accompanying teachers were presented with information on how the Bank can support Qatari students through university, including the payment of tuition fees and a monthly salary to obtain a bachelors degree in any business-related field.
Attending students were encouraged to join the sponsorship programme and met with Commercial Bank employees from diverse backgrounds, who shared their personal experiences and gave words of encouragement and inspiration.
Commercial Bank CEO Abdulla Saleh Al Raisi said: “Providing optimal conditions for young Qataris to succeed is a central part of developing Qatar’s human capital in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. Commercial Bank has always supported the development of young Qatari talent through a variety of sponsorship and in-house career development initiatives as part of our National Development Programme. We warmly welcome students from The Qatari Center of Social Cultural for the Deaf to our National Development Programme, as Commercial Bank is committed to the development of all young Qataris, and the opportunities we provide at the Bank are open to all, regardless of any physical impairment.”
