Programme to be held from 1 to 3 February
Doha, Qatar: Commercial Bank, one of the leading full service banks in Qatar, is pleased to announce that the second Youth Leadership Acceleration Programme will be held for Qatari nationals aged 16 to 20 from 1 to 3 February under the patronage of Qatar Central Bank. The Programme is part of a partnership between Commercial Bank and HEC Paris to develop the skills of young Qataris.
The 3-day Programme is delivered by HEC Paris in Qatar, a member of Qatar Foundation and the region’s leading hub for executive education, and conducted chiefly by senior HEC Paris faculty members Lily Kelly-Radford Ph.D, and Luke Novelli Ph.D, at Tornado Tower. Commercial Bank and HEC Paris are working hand in hand to deliver the Qatar National Vision 2030 which seeks, among its many goals, to introduce key skills to Qatari youth as part of the country’s journey towards a knowledge-based economy.
The Youth Leadership Acceleration Programme offers talented young Qataris the opportunity to build key leadership skills, identify areas for personal development and form a vision of how their growth in leadership contributes to the future of Qatar. Students representing renowned educational institutions in Qatar will be attending the Programme.
During the Programme, participants will work on leadership styles, individual leadership and driving change in the context of the Qatar National Vision 2030, as well as address other topics.
Commercial Bank CEO Mr Abdulla Saleh Al Raisi said: “Commercial Bank is whole-heartedly committed to Qatari youth and we will continue to focus on developing Qatar’s promising human capital in line with the National Vision 2030. This is the second time Commercial Bank has partnered with HEC Paris for the Youth Leadership Acceleration Programme, due to both the success of last year’s event as well as demand from parents. The active participation of Commercial Bank in the Programme reflects our commitment to developing the skills of the next generation in Qatar.”
CEO and Academic Dean of HEC Paris in Qatar Laoucine Kerbache said: “The programmes and research activities of HEC Paris in Qatar are fully aligned with Qatar’s National Vision 2030. In supporting the transformation of this country into an advanced, competitive and knowledge-based economy, we are honoured to be working with Commercial Bank on this specific endeavour in further developing the leadership skills of young Qatari nationals.”
